  • Developing individualized treatment plans that align with the unique goals and preferences of each student and their family.
  • Providing direct counseling and emotional support to students, assisting them in navigating life challenges such as academic stress, family dynamics, and interpersonal relationships.
  • Advocating for students' rights, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support services within the community.
  • Collaborating with teachers, school counselors, and healthcare professionals to design comprehensive care strategies conducive to the student’s educational environment.
  • Regularly monitoring and documenting client progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.
  • Facilitating workshops and informational sessions for parents and educators about social resources available to students.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse student population within the school system. You will serve elementary through high school-aged children and adolescents, addressing various psychological and social challenges, including bullying, behavioral issues, academic stress, and familial changes. Your interventions will aim to foster resilience and personal growth among students, ensuring they develop healthy coping strategies and maintain robust support networks.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
  • At least two years of hands-on experience in a social work setting, preferably working with school-aged children or adolescents.
  • A strong understanding of social work principles, developmental stages in youth, and resources available to support students' mental health.
  • Exceptional skills in assessment, counseling, and conflict resolution.
  • A compassionate demeanor, capable of establishing trust and rapport with students and their families.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth platforms.
Preferred Experience

While not required, the following experiences are considered assets:

  • Experience working within a school or educational environment.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
  • Background in crisis intervention skills and conflict resolution training.
  • Knowledge of community-based support systems for youth and families.

We offer competitive compensation ranging from $60,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Health insurance plans covering medical, dental, and vision expenses.
  • A retirement savings program with employer-matching contributions to secure your future.
