Job description

Organizations don't innovate; people do.

As part of our digital transformation business, you'll help clients unlock innovation, embrace the future, and change communities for good.

And we'll help you stimulate new thinking, accelerate your career, and connect you to projects that really matter.

Join our team of over 600 data scientists, design thinkers, immersive digital consultants, project managers, and innovators, all working to create positive change for generations to come."

 Who are we looking for?

The Global IS Team is on the look of a Senior Copilot Studio Developer to be able to commute to any of our Waterloo or Toronto offices.

The Senior Copilot Studio Developer is responsible for building, configuring, and maintaining advanced Copilot Studio agents that support business use cases at scale. This role translates business needs into welldesigned AI solutions, integrates knowledge sources and automation, and follows established architecture and governance standards. The Senior Developer also mentors other builders, contributes to best practices, and helps ensure Copilot solutions deliver measurable business value.

Be part of the dynamic culture! Our workplace thrives on a hybrid model, combining in-office collaboration and flexibility. Join us in the office, three days a week, to contribute, connect, and excel in our vibrant environment.

Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Design, build, and deliver production-grade Copilot Studio agents that meet business outcomes, operate within GHD's governance standards, and follow the architectural patterns established through the Agent Enablement Program.

  • Establish and maintain a library of reusable agent patterns, components, prompt templates, and Power Automate flows that accelerate delivery across AI Foundations and partner teams.

  • Own the citizen developer enablement workstream within the Agent Enablement Program, including developer office hours, templates, code samples, onboarding content, and coaching for makers in GHD business units.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to shape use cases, define success metrics, and translate requirements into agent designs that balance capability, cost, and risk.

  • Integrate agents with GHD enterprise data sources (including Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint, Dataverse, and line-of-business systems) through governed connectors and APIs.

  • Work closely with the Power Platform Solution Architect on reference patterns, the Copilot Platform Administrator on deployment and lifecycle, and Astein Meland's development function on pro-code extensions where agent delivery requires custom engineering.

  • Contribute to code review, pattern review, and pre-production gating for agents built by other GHD teams under Agent Enablement Program supervision.

  • Stay close to Microsofts Copilot Studio and Agent 365 roadmap, prototype emerging capabilities, and advise AI Foundations Leadership on where to invest.

What you will bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 5 or more years of software or low-code development experience, with a minimum of 2 years focused on Microsoft Power Platform and at least 1 year delivering Copilot Studio or Power Virtual Agents solutions in production.

  • Demonstrable portfolio of at least one Copilot Studio agent or comparable conversational AI solution deployed in a governed enterprise environment.

  • Experience integrating with Microsoft Graph, Dataverse, SharePoint, and custom APIs, including authentication patterns such as OAuth and service principals.

  • Microsoft certifications strongly preferred: PL-400 Power Platform Developer; PL-7001 or equivalent Copilot Studio credentials; AI-102 Azure AI Engineer is valued.

  • Experience coaching or mentoring citizen developers, or running enablement programs such as hackathons, office hours, or maker communities.

 Skills & Competencies

  • Strong hands-on delivery experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio (or earlier Power Virtual Agents), including topics, generative answers, knowledge sources, actions, authentication, and channel configuration.

  • Deep Power Platform proficiency, particularly Power Automate flows and Dataverse, with the ability to integrate against REST APIs, Graph, and enterprise systems via custom connectors.

  • Practical prompt engineering skill for Copilot grounding and agent behaviour, including evaluation, testing, and iteration against real user scenarios.

  • Solid understanding of enterprise governance concerns: Purview sensitivity labels, DLP, Entra ID, and responsible AI principles as applied to agent design.

  • Clear communication skills with the ability to coach makers of varying technical depth, including running workshops, office hours, and code reviews.

  • Product mindset: focused on adoption, usability, and measurable outcomes, not just technical completion.

  • Comfortable working in an agile delivery model with Azure DevOps or similar, including backlog, sprints, and release management.

  • Curiosity and currency with the breader AI landscape (Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, and adjacent tooling) sufficient to make informed technical choices within the Microsoft-first stack
