Scope of Position

As a Sports Simulator Attendant, you'll be at the heart of creating a fun and immersive experience for our customers. You'll be responsible for assisting guests in our virtual reality room bays, ensuring they have a blast while using our state-of-the-art technology. Your enthusiasm, energy, and attention to detail will play a vital role in making sure each customer leaves with unforgettable memories.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in gaming, virtual reality, or hospitality is a plus.
  • Passion for gaming, technology, and virtual reality experiences.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and customer-oriented personality with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain a clean and tidy VR room area.
  • Basic technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to virtual reality equipment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist customers with equipment setup.

Responsibilities

  • Guest Assistance: Welcome and greet customers as they enter the virtual reality room area. Provide a warm and friendly introduction to our technology and the activities available.
  • Bay Setup: Prepare virtual reality room bays for customer use, ensuring all equipment is in excellent working condition. Keep the bays clean and organized, ready to offer a smooth and enjoyable experience.
  • Customer Orientation: Guide customers through the virtual reality setup process, explaining how to use the different sports equipment, handle controllers, and navigate through various games and experiences.
  • Safety Briefing: Conduct brief safety demonstrations to ensure customers understand the do's and don'ts while using the sports simulator equipment to maintain a safe environment.
  • Game Selection: Assist customers in choosing from a wide selection of virtual reality games and experiences, offering recommendations based on their interests and skill levels.
  • Technical Support: Provide basic technical support to customers, troubleshooting any issues with the Sports Simulator and assisting them with starting or restarting games when necessary.
  • Guest Engagement: Foster a fun and energetic atmosphere, engaging customers in conversations about their experiences, offering tips, and celebrating their achievements.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Regularly clean and sanitize the Sports Simulator Attendant equipment and bays between customer sessions to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
  • Upselling and Promotions: Introduce customers to additional experiences, packages, or special promotions to enhance their visit and drive sales.
  • Cash Handling: Process customer payments, handle cash transactions accurately, and manage the point-of-sale system.

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus. 
  • Ability to perform proper chemical handling, cleaning techniques and use of equipment/machinery. 
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be physically fit in order to lift, pull and push items up to 50 pounds.
  • Also requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
