What is a Virtual Reality Developer?

A Virtual Reality Developer is a technology professional who designs, builds, and tests immersive applications and experiences using virtual reality (VR) technology. They use programming languages, 3D modeling tools, and game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine to create interactive environments for gaming, training, education, healthcare, and other industries. Their work involves both creative design and technical development, often collaborating with artists, designers, and other developers to bring virtual worlds to life.

What are some common challenges faced by Virtual Reality Developers when collaborating with designers and other team members?

Virtual Reality Developers often work closely with designers, artists, and UX specialists to bring immersive experiences to life. One common challenge is aligning technical constraints with creative vision, as not all design ideas are feasible within current VR hardware limitations. Effective communication and iterative prototyping are essential to bridge gaps between disciplines and ensure that both performance and user experience goals are met. Additionally, VR projects require rigorous testing across multiple devices, which can add complexity to collaboration and scheduling.

Are VR developers in demand?

VR developers are in high demand as virtual reality technology expands across industries such as gaming, healthcare, education, and training. Job description

Job Description:
We are Omnissa!
Omnissa is the first AI-driven digital work platform, built to support flexible, secure, work-from anywhere experiences. We integrate industry-leading solutions-including Unified Endpoint Management, Virtual Apps and Desktops, Digital Employee Experience, and Security & Compliance-into a seamless, autonomous workspace that adapts to how people work. Our platform boosts employee engagement while optimizing IT operations, security, and cost.
Guided by our Core Values-Act in Alignment, Build Trust, Foster Inclusiveness, Drive Efficiency, and Maximize Customer Value-we're growing rapidly and committed to delivering meaningful impact. If you're passionate about shaping the future of work, we'd love to hear from you.
At Omnissa, we are committed to maintaining a fair, consistent, and secure hiring process for all candidates. As part of this approach, we use standard interview and verification practices designed to ensure alignment and protect both candidates and the organization. These practices are applied thoughtfully and with respect for candidate privacy.
What is the opportunity?
Omnissa is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the strategy and execution for the foundational enterprise capabilities within Workspace ONE UEM's Core Platform. You'll be defining where the platform goes, not just managing what it does today. That means owning product direction, leading large-scale platform initiatives, and operating as the subject matter expert across internal teams, technology partners, and global cybersecurity agencies. Your work directly shapes the reliability, security, and enterprise readiness of the Omnissa platform for customers worldwide. If you're energized by platform-level problems, thrive at the intersection of enterprise SaaS architecture and customer-facing execution, and want to leave a mark on infrastructure that matters - this role is for you.
Here is a breakdown:
  • Own and evolve the long-range platform strategy across the Modern SaaS Architecture, Certificate Management, and Enterprise Readiness to position Omnissa as the enterprise standard for endpoint management infrastructure.
  • Serve as the platform's strategic horizon scanner, synthesizing shifts in enterprise SaaS architecture, security standards, and the competitive landscape to identify inflection points early and lead platform transitions before market pressure forces them.
  • Define engineering contracts at the Epic level - authoring precise acceptance criteria that bridge business intent and technical execution while anchoring quarterly Plans of Record to measurable strategic outcomes.
  • Own the upgrade strategy in close partnership with SaaS Operations establishing feedback loops between operational telemetry and customer signals to continuously evolve deployment approaches at enterprise scale.
  • Conduct systematic platform analysis to surface architectural gaps and capability deficiencies, translating findings into prioritized investments that measurably improve reliability, performance, and feature parity.
  • Bring deep SaaS architecture and SRE fluency to the product decision-making process using reliability engineering principles and service-level thinking to ground prioritization in operational reality.
  • Drive strategic customer engagement with global enterprise accounts, translating complex technical requirements and deployment constraints into platform investments that shape multi-year product direction.
  • Shape the customer knowledge ecosystem by authoring and maintaining high-impact technical content, ensuring enterprise customers and partners have the clarity needed to deploy, operate, and scale Omnissa capabilities confidently.
  • Manage strategic technology partner relationships - including DigiCert, Entrust, and PKI infrastructure providers - aligning roadmaps, accelerating joint feature delivery, and ensuring Omnissa's certificate management capabilities stay ahead of enterprise demand.
  • Lead Omnissa's engagement with global cybersecurity certification bodies and own the product side of Omnissa's certification strategy, navigating complex compliance requirements, and ensuring the platform meets the security standards demanded by government and regulated enterprise customers worldwide.
  • Bring product judgment to high-complexity escalations - connecting engineering, support, and customer context to accelerate resolution and close the loop with product improvements that address root causes.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of large-scale platform initiatives establishing clear ownership structures, maintaining execution momentum, and keeping stakeholders aligned from scoping through launch.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional delivery across Documentation, Release Management, and Engineering - serving as the connective tissue between teams to ensure customer commitments are met with precision and issues are resolved as efficiently as possible.
  • Own the internal readiness motion for new platform capabilities - building demo narratives, technical enablement materials, and training programs that ensure customer-facing and support teams can confidently represent and support what's been built.

What will you bring to Omnissa?
  • 5+ years in product management, technical marketing, systems engineering, SRE, DevOps, SaaS Ops, or other customer-facing enterprise software roles - with a track record of owning platform strategy end-to-end, not just managing a backlog.
  • Deep fluency in enterprise SaaS architecture, deployment models, and upgrade strategies - able to own and evolve platform direction across both SaaS and sovereign environments.
  • Strong security foundation spanning certificate lifecycle management, security certifications, and direct engagement with cybersecurity stakeholders - comfortable driving compliance strategy as much as navigating technical detail.
  • Proficiency across major operating systems and environments: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux, and Load Balancers.
  • Proven ability to lead products from concept to launch across cross-functional teams, with a bias for action and comfort making decisions with incomplete information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and author precise customer-facing content with clarity.
  • Strong collaborative instincts and ability to build alignment across teams with competing priorities and independent roadmaps.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and data-driven decision making.
  • Hands-on experience with Workspace ONE UEM or comparable enterprise endpoint management platforms
  • Familiarity with certificate authority integrations, including DigiCert, Entrust, or equivalent PKI infrastructure.
  • Experience engaging with government or global cybersecurity certification bodies.
  • Background in customer-facing technical roles - such as solutions engineering or technical account management - prior to product management.
  • Comfort working with SRE and SaaS operations teams on platform reliability and upgrade execution.
