Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.

Qualifications
License: Must have current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas. Current BLS and ACLS required. PALS within six months of employement.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN is preferred.
Experience: Three years of Med-surg, Rehab or related Registered Nurse experience required.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Provides care appropriate to the age of the patient served .
