A Virtual PRN RN (as-needed Registered Nurse) provides remote nursing care, typically through telehealth platforms. Responsibilities may include patient assessments, triage, education, and coordination of care. This role offers flexibility, allowing nurses to work on an as-needed basis without a fixed schedule. Virtual PRN RNs must have strong communication skills, clinical experience, and a reliable internet connection to deliver quality care remotely.

These abilities enable Virtual PRN RNs to deliver effective, patient-centered care and respond promptly to acute needs in a remote and often independent work environment.
