Job description

The PRN Registered Nurse provides direct patient care primarily in home health care and out and facility settings, focusing on individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role involves administering medications, planning and documenting care, and educating patients and staff to ensure compliance with medication protocols. Occasional travel to patient homes is required, and the nurse reports to the Directors of Facility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in home health and outpatient settings
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses
  • Develop and update individualized care plans
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records
  • Educate patients and caregivers on health management and medication compliance
