The 23-bed Neuro Medical Telemetry Unit cares for patients with varying neurological needs. As an RN Resident on the team, you will deliver exceptional care alongside a coach, throughout the patient care journey. This department offers a great environment in which to learn and strengthen your skills in IVs, NGTs, cardiac drips and stroke care, preparing you for a higher level of care in the ICU, CCU or ED. Here, you can take part in leader courses, earnadditionalcertificationsand climb the clinical ladder.

APRNcaregiver in this position worksvarying nights from 7:00PM - 7:30AM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide direct nursing care.

  • Implement andmonitorpatient care plans.

  • Monitor,recordand communicate patients' conditions.

  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

  • Assess andcoordinatepatients' discharge needs.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing(Diploma,ADNor BSN program)

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross

  • External applicants:two years of recent related nursing experience.

  • Internal applicantswith less than two years' experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary period, could be considered with the Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval

  • Will consider military RN experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor ofScience inNursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $43.00

Maximum hourly: $43.00
