Job description

Cuero Regional Hospital is seeking a RN Circulator to join our Surgery team.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • The Surgery Registered Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect provisions of professional nursing care of the patients in the surgical suite and peri-anesthesia areas.
  • The nurse is accountable for the patient's ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of all of the components of care delivered to patients within the peri-operative/recovery environments utilizing the nursing process.
  • He/she will monitor, aid and direct the activities of the surgical staff during the procedures and will maintain continuous communication with the surgeon, anesthetist and team.
  • He/She will demonstrate knowledge of the necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment needed during the procedures.
  • He/she will also have thorough knowledge of the instrument processing, sterilization, biological monitoring an will actively participate in these processes.
  • He/she will share on call duties.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • Current RN license
  • BLS certified
  • Surgery circulating experience preferred, but not required
  • Has organizational and multi-tasking skills
