About the Role

This quick-start opportunity is ideal for a skilled nurse with strong Adult, Pediatric, and Orthopedic Med-Surg experience who can provide safe, patient-centered care in a Critical Access Hospital setting.

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, documentation, patient education, and collaboration with the healthcare team to support high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide nursing care for Adult, Pediatric, and Orthopedic Med-Surg patients
  • Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions safely and accurately
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status
  • Document all patient care activities in EPIC EMR according to hospital standards
  • Provide patient and family education regarding care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and support unit workflow
  • Function as Charge Nurse when required
  • Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards
Requirements
  • Active and current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License required
  • BLS/BCLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Med-Surg nursing experience required
  • Experience with Adult, Pediatric, and Orthopedic patient populations preferred
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred
  • Critical Access Hospital experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient care skills
