Position Summary
Provides nursing care to patients throughout the surgical continuum, functioning as a Circulating, Scrub, and/or Endoscopy RN. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality surgical and procedural care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical and endoscopic procedures.
  • Assess and monitor patients before, during, and following procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
  • Prepare the surgical suite, equipment, instruments, and supplies for assigned procedures.
  • Maintain sterile technique, surgical asepsis, infection prevention, and patient safety standards.
  • Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team during procedures.
  • Perform and document surgical counts and ensure appropriate handling, labeling, and management of specimens.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely within the RN scope of practice.
  • Provide patient and family education and communicate appropriate handoff information throughout the surgical continuum.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality and performance improvement activities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS certification with basic EKG/arrhythmia identification competency.
  • Minimum one (1) year of Operating Room or acute care nursing experience required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional languages preferred.

Job Type: Full-time, Variable
Pay: $65.00-$85.00/hourly
