A Virtual Plastic Surgery RN is a registered nurse who provides specialized nursing care, support, and education to plastic surgery patients through virtual platforms such as video calls, telehealth systems, or online messaging. They assist with pre- and post-operative care, patient assessments, education about procedures, and follow-up appointments remotely. This role is essential in expanding access to plastic surgery care, ensuring patient safety, and enhancing communication between patients and surgeons.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Virtual Plastic Surgery RN?

To thrive as a Virtual Plastic Surgery RN, you need a strong background in surgical nursing, patient assessment, and wound care, along with an active RN license and experience in plastic or aesthetic surgery. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health records, and secure communication tools is crucial for remote patient management. Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to educate and reassure patients virtually are standout soft skills for this role.
