Job description

A respected regional hospital is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join its surgical team. This role is responsible for providing safe, high-quality patient care throughout the surgical process while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the broader care team.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care for surgical patients.
  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Monitor patient status, review diagnostics, and communicate changes to physicians and care teams.
  • Implement physician orders and nursing care plans in accordance with clinical policies and standards.
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks to other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and post-operative care.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
  • Support a collaborative environment focused on patient safety, quality improvement, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in AZ (or compact license).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Previous surgical or operating room nursing experience preferred.
