Job description

Marina Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced perioperative Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in our state-of-the-art cosmetic surgery facility. As a Surgical RN, you will work closely with the Physician and OR Manager to provide exceptional care to surgical patients. You will assist with the care of each patient admitted, circulate and supervise care during surgical procedures in the OR, and manage the patient (under the supervision of anesthetist when applicable) in the PACU prior to discharge. Your nursing services will be directed toward meeting the patient’s individual needs and concerns, while upholding quality standards in accordance with established policies and practices. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established center with a collaborative and supportive team of professionals who are committed to delivering the highest standards of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Op: Check in patients, start IVs, obtain vitals, review medical history, ensure consents/labs/clearances are complete, provide education, and assist with pre-op photos and markings.
  • OR Circulating: Circulate cosmetic surgery cases, prepare the sterile field when needed, support anesthesia, manage documentation, and coordinate communication with caregivers during procedures.
  • PACU Recovery: Monitor and recover patients post-operatively, manage airways and pain/nausea needs, perform dressing changes, and provide thorough post-op instructions.
  • Team & Safety: Uphold infection control and medication administration standards, participate in inventory and supply management, support emergencies calmly and effectively (CPR, AED, crash cart), and contribute to a clean, safe clinical environment.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active RN licensure
  • BLS and ACLS (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • OR/Surgical experience required; comfortable administering medications and supporting anesthesia
  • Plastic surgery or outpatient surgery center experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills—able to support patients and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the surgical schedule

What We Offer:

  • 401(k)

  • Employee discount

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Paid time off
