About the Role:

The Virtual Care Support Service Medical Assistant plays a critical role in delivering high-quality healthcare services through virtual platforms. This position is responsible for supporting healthcare providers by managing patient interactions, coordinating virtual appointments, and ensuring seamless communication between patients and clinical staff. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to accurately document patient information and assist with clinical workflows remotely. By facilitating efficient virtual care delivery, the Medical Assistant helps improve patient outcomes and satisfaction while supporting the operational goals of Access Medical Acquisition. This position is essential in bridging the gap between technology and patient care in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant certification program preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and virtual care technologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or virtual environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential.
  • Previous experience in a virtual care or telehealth setting.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
  • Proficiency in multiple virtual communication platforms and scheduling software.
  • Additional training or coursework in healthcare informatics or patient engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule virtual patient appointments, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
  • Assist healthcare providers by preparing and updating electronic health records with accurate patient information.
