Job Summary:
Assists in the planning, implementing, and evaluating the learning experiences (classroom and clinical, Virtual and Brick and Mortar), of students; provides student guidance; contributes to the promotion of the total programs; and demonstrates professionalism and self-development appropriate to teaching, service, and scholarship.
Position Responsibilities:
Carries out daily activities within appropriate ethical, regulatory and legal standards and adheres to the Virtua Health's, "Corporate Compliance Code of Conduct Statement" as well as the other Corporate Compliance and HIPAA policies designated by Virtua Health, federal and state regulations. Complies with all organizational & departmental policies, procedures, and standards. Consistently maintains high standards of business and ethical conduct in accordance with applicable Federal, state and local laws and regulations including fraud, waste and abuse. Adheres to both the spirit and letter of applicable Federal, state and local laws and regulations with attention to Federal Department of Education regulations related FEPRA. Practices good faith in transactions occurring during the course of business. Steadfastly complies with all of Virtua Health's privacy policies and reports any breach of such policies, whether the individual or another member of the workforce committed the breach. Refuses offers, solicitations and payments to induce referrals of the people we serve for an item of service reimbursable by a third party. Notifies their supervisor and/or the Director of Compliance and Privacy Officer of instances of non-compliance. Protects and retains records and documents as required by professional standards, governmental regulations and Virtua Health policies. Complies with organizational & departmental policies, procedures & standards, for example but not limited to: Associate health, Dress code, Attendance, Safety/Fire, Universal Precautions, Infection Control, and Safety Reporting.
Facilitates learning and creates an environment in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings that encourages student learning and the achievement of desired cognitive, affective and psychomotor outcomes. Implements a variety of evidenced based teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs, desired learner outcomes, content, and context. Position Qualifications Required:
Required Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, 3+ years' experience as an RN
Required Education: Master of Nursing degree required, Master of Nursing Education, EdD, PhD or DNP preferred
Training / Certification / Licensure: RN licensure in the state of New Jersey required, BLS required, (ACLS, NALS, PALS required for specialty courses)
Hourly Rate: $77.00
