Medical Records Coordinator (Contract Assignment)

Location: Cleveland, OH
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Duration: Approximately 4 Weeks
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, start time between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM
Work Arrangement: Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Medical Records Coordinator for a short-term contract assignment in Cleveland, Ohio. This role is responsible for managing medical records operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, supporting coding activities, and maintaining accurate patient documentation.

Required Qualifications
  • Previous medical records experience
  • ICD-10 medical coding experience
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA and medical record compliance requirements
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • TB Test required
Preferred Qualifications
  • RHIT or related Health Information Management certification
  • Experience in a healthcare, hospital, or clinical setting
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and audit patient records for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
  • Monitor record completion, physician signatures, discharge summaries, and documentation requirements
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, and Ohio Department of Health regulations
  • Process release of information requests and maintain confidentiality standards
  • Support billing and clinical teams with records and documentation needs
  • Assign and sequence ICD-10 diagnostic codes
