Job Description
By joining PNC's Product Innovation Development Program, you can explore your potential through hands-on experience in a professional environment. This is an excellent opportunity to begin exploring your career goals, in addition to growing your skills in key areas. The goal of PNC's Development Programs is to move analysts from development roles into product roles in one of PNC's lines of business.
PNC's Retail product teams guide the vision, strategy, and go-to-market plan while leading the teams building the technology by working across functions to grow the business profitably. The Product Innovation Development Program will allow associates to gain exposure to PNC's entire suite of PNC products and gain hands on experience to develop their skills through the lifecycle of the product.
Product Innovation Associates will gain exposure to the strategic side of PNC products and services from understanding the true customer need, designing the user experience, development and build, and deployment to customers. They'll collaborate with experienced and knowledgeable leaders in the industry from all aspects of the business including product management, design, technology, operations and product development and will gain knowledge of the product lifecycle and processes to understand how changes impact the firm, its customers, and shareholders end-to-end
Associates will complete multiple rotations over the course of the program in different lines of business and teams and will be placed in roles upon graduation participate in a comprehensive learning curriculum, interact with senior management, and partake in a robust mentorship program. Most of the learning will occur through hands-on projects undertaken in conjunction with seasoned professionals solving real life banking problems and seeing how business goals come to life through technology tools.
Associates will assist Product Innovation teams throughout the program in the following ways:
  • Identify market trends, technology, and consumer insights to drive innovation while developing competitive research.
  • Develop differentiated features that help customers address their financial wellbeing needs and provide an exceptional and easy experience.
  • Participate in the end-to-end review of how a product is delivered and initiate process improvement tasks.
  • Engage with multi-disciplinary teams including marketing, product management & development, lending, consumer banking, small business, finance, credit, digital, asset management, and operations.
  • Develop skillsets including, but not limited to, Agile development, project management, professional presentations, research best practices, and building an executive presence.
