Position Summary
Facilitate academic growth in one-on-one and small-group settings in a learning center environment.
The College Prep Program helps students prepare for college-level coursework, assessments, and/or
training programs. Classrooms are located at the Forest Park and Florissant Valley campuses, along with
some virtual instruction. This posting is a pool position to collect applicants for ongoing openings.
Primary Duties Performed
• Assist students moving through developmental-level Mathematics, Reading, or Writing.
o Mathematics, Reading, or Writing will be determined upon hire based on area of
expertise.
• Develop or update supplemental learning materials.
• Administer and grade student assignments, assessments, etc.
• Share strategies relating to assessments, organization, time management, etc.
• Monitor student progress and share with supervisor.
• Coordinate work schedule vis a vis other staff.
• Participate in norming sessions.
• Attend team workshops and meetings.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in related field.
• Over one-year relevant teaching experience.
• Experience teaching in a lab setting is preferred.
