A Day in the Life as a Virtual Teller
As a Virtual Teller, you'll serve as a trusted financial partner and one of the first points of contact for our members through our interactive video banking platform. Your friendly personality, professionalism, and ability to identify member needs will help create meaningful relationships and exceptional service experiences.
In this role, you'll assist members with a variety of transactions and account services while actively uncovering opportunities to recommend products and services that support their financial goals. Success in this position requires a combination of excellent service skills, relationship-building abilities, and a passion for helping members find the right solutions.
You will process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and account maintenance requests while providing exceptional member service through video interactions. You will answer questions regarding accounts, products, and Credit Union services, resolve member concerns, and identify opportunities to recommend products and services that support members' financial needs. You will also refer lending, investment, and other financial opportunities to the appropriate team members while ensuring compliance with all established policies, procedures, and security standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have previous customer service, sales, banking, contact center, financial institution, or cash-handling experience. Strong relationship-building and sales skills are essential, along with the ability to identify member needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Candidates should possess exceptional communication, grammar, and mathematical skills, maintain professionalism in challenging situations, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A friendly, outgoing, and service-oriented personality is required. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Schedule
This full-time position offers a regular schedule of Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional shifts from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Some Saturdays are required from 8:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. You'll always have Saturday evenings and Sundays free.
