Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, and vCenter
  • Manage virtual machine provisioning, configuration, performance tuning, and lifecycle management
  • Design, implement, and support enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, and DAS)
  • Monitor storage capacity, performance, and utilization; perform capacity planning
  • Configure and manage storage systems (e.g., LUNs, RAID groups, datastores, snapshots)
  • Ensure high availability through clustering, replication, and failover solutions
  • Perform system backups and support disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Troubleshoot complex virtualization and storage issues across environments
  • Apply patches, upgrades, and security updates to VMware and storage systems
  • Automate administrative tasks using scripting tools (e.g., PowerCLI, PowerShell, Bash)
