Alchemy Addiction Recovery "Where Transformation Begins"

Position: IOP Counselor / Social Worker / LPC / PLPC / LMSW / LCSW / LMFT / LAC to provide group and individual therapy for people with addiction in an adult outpatient facility.

The ideal person will be trauma-informed, compassionate and caring, energetic, technology savvy, and able to operate within a virtual and in-person platform. Ability to adapt, shift, and change are essential skills in this role. This person will: be responsible for working with a multidisciplinary team of professionals and will be expected to maintain effective working relationships within the community, demonstrate knowledge of the principles of addiction and of treating common occurring issues, focus on holistic care of client and aim to increase a client's wellness in all areas of life, this position is an evening only position.

Primary Objectives

  • Provide assessments and basic consultation, education, complete specialized clinical social work services for clients receiving treatment, focusing on 12-step recovery process, and providing information and referrals as needed
  • Engage in ongoing assessment of the client's needs and response to treatment, remaining sensitive to individual differences, which include racial, cultural, psychosocial, economic, age-related and gender variations
  • Promote a company culture that emphasizes collaboration, quality, continuous improvement, and high performance

Education

  • Degree in social work, counseling, or related counseling field from an accredited university and previous experience or training in the field of clinical dependency

Experience

  • A minimum of one (1) years experience in Addiction/Substance Abuse counseling in a mental health care facility, or a related field
  • Must have direct experience in group therapies and treatment planning
  • Must have strong clinical assessment skills

License

  • LMSW, LCSW, PLPC, LPC, LMFT, LAC, or related license preferred
  • Must function under the Standards of Practice for individual's discipline as mandated by the State of Louisiana
  • Must reflect those characteristics and professional standards set forth in the National Association Code of Ethics
