Position: Training Coordinator
Location: Wright Patterson AFB, OH (On-site)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 0730-1630. Occasional travel may be required in support of meetings, conferences, and mission requirements.
Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. A nationally registered Paramedic may be substituted.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in nursing or a related healthcare field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of emergency room patient management and trauma healthcare principles.
  • Experience working in an educational environment, preferably within healthcare or medical training.
  • Ability to design and deliver instructor-led and virtual training programs.
  • Knowledge of applicable Air Force standards, military and civilian policies, and procedures, with successful completion of USAFSAM and department orientation within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to provide a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to the start of performance.

Highly Desired Qualifications:
  • Previous instructional experience (e.g., Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) or similar).
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard, Genius, or comparable platforms.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense training and educational policies and standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and support healthcare and emergency medical education and training programs across USAFSAM and the 711th Human Performance Wing.
  • Develop, update, and deliver clinical and emergency medical training materials based on current best practices in nursing, trauma care, and first responder protocols.
  • Coordinate the scheduling, delivery, and administration of healthcare training programs while ensuring compliance with USAFSAM and Department of the Air Force standards.
  • Analyze training performance metrics, student outcomes, and program effectiveness, and prepare reports with recommendations for leadership.
  • Manage continuing nursing and medical education credits and support the Comprehensive Medical Readiness Program (CMRP) through program monitoring and policy support.
  • Coordinate curriculum development, identify resource requirements, and collaborate with clinical consultants, Career Field Managers, and leadership to improve educational programs.
  • Collect, analyze, and report training data to identify program gaps, barriers, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert during meetings with USAFSAM, Department of the Air Force, and healthcare stakeholders, providing recommendations to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Ensure training programs meet academic standards, medical readiness requirements, deployment objectives, and operational mission needs.
  • Develop reports, presentations, and other program documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint while supporting ongoing program startup, monitoring, and reporting activities.
