The Hair Color Specialist is responsible for delivering expert-level color services, education, and product knowledge (experience using Wella Professionals’ color portfoliois a valuable). This role combines technical mastery, trend awareness, and client education to ensure exceptional color results and elevate the salon’s reputation for premium color services.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise
• Perform advanced color services formulation variety of techniques is important indluding blonding, balyage, dimensional color, color correcting and more.
  • Experience will Wall color including Koleston Perfect, Illumina Color, Color Touch, Blondor, and Shinefinity is a huge bonus
• Conduct in-depth color consultations to determine personalized formulas and techniques tailored to each client’s needs.
Education & Training
• Educate clients and team members on products, shade selection, maintenance, and aftercare.
• Stay updated on Wella technical releases, formulas, innovations, and seasonal trends.
• Participate in ongoing education, workshops, and Wella certifications to maintain elite-level expertise.
Client Experience
• Provide a luxury color experience aligned with Wella standards and salon expectations.
• Consult with clients about hair health, color goals, upkeep, and at-home product recommendations.
• Maintain consistent, high-quality results that build loyalty and increase client retention.
Salon Support
• Assist stylists with formulation troubleshooting and advanced technical guidance.
• Support inventory managementfor hair care and styling products
• Contribute to team education sessions, product launches 

Qualifications
• Licensed cosmetologist (or equivalent, depending on region).
• 2+ years of experience in professional hair coloring; advanced or master colorist training preferred.
• Strong understanding of Wella Professionals color theory, product lines, and formulation systems.
• Excellent communication, consultation, and customer service skills.
• Passion for continued learning, creativity, and brand representation.

Preferred Skills
• Experience with color correction and complex formulations leveraging Wella color lines 
• Ability to teach, mentor, and support other stylists.
• Familiarity with trending color techniques
