What are some common challenges faced when moderating a virtual focus group, and how can they be addressed?

Moderating a virtual focus group often involves challenges like ensuring participant engagement, managing technical issues, and facilitating balanced discussions among remote attendees. To address these, moderators use interactive tools, set clear ground rules, and actively encourage quieter members to share their opinions. Regularly checking in with participants and preparing contingency plans for potential technical difficulties also helps maintain a productive and inclusive environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a virtual focus group moderator?

To thrive as a Virtual Focus Group Moderator, you need strong facilitation skills, experience in market research, and typically a background in social sciences or communications. These skills ensure productive discussions, reliable data collection, and valuable feedback for clients or researchers.

  • Provide routine, urgent, and chronic podiatric care through in-person and virtual visits.
  • Strong multidisciplinary approach to wound care and diabetic limb salvage.
  • Hospital call responsibilities for diabetic foot consultations and partial foot amputations (approximately 1:8 call rotation).
  • Collaborative, physician-led integrated care model.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions.
  • Perform comprehensive wound care with a focus on diabetic limb preservation.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to improve patient function and quality of life.
  • Educate patients on preventative foot care and chronic disease management.
  • Prescribe medications and coordinate referrals when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and clinical staff to provide coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in hospital call coverage for diabetic foot consultations and partial foot amputations.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from an accredited program.
  • Board Certified in Foot Surgery through ABFAS.
  • Experience or strong interest in wound care and diabetic limb salvage preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Why Join TSPMG?
  • Physician-owned and physician-led medical group.
  • Integrated care model with exceptional specialist collaboration.
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Excellent work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.
  • Supportive culture focused on quality, innovation, and patient outcomes.
