Overview
PACE Supply is currently seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM), Water Heater in Idaho to join our team.
This is an in-market remote position based in Nampa, Idaho, with a primary focus on driving growth and market share for our Water Heater product line (tank, tankless, electric, gas, and hybrid models). In partnership with Account Managers, the BDM will identify and qualify new customers, uncover opportunities with plumbing and mechanical contractors, and effectively communicate the value of our water heater solutions to drive sales and expand market presence in the region.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with plumbing contractors, mechanical contractors, and wholesalers to grow water heater sales.
  • Partner closely with Account Managers and their customers to provide technical support, product recommendations, and solutions for water heating projects.
  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities with existing house accounts as well as new plumbing and mechanical contractors.
  • Conduct market research to identify high-potential plumbing contractors and target accounts for water heater products.
  • Effectively promote the division's full range of water heater products, highlighting advantages in efficiency, reliability, installation, and warranty.
  • Develop accurate and competitive quotes/proposals for water heater projects, working directly with customers and account managers.
  • Stay current on industry trends, new water heater technologies (e.g., heat pump, condensing, low-NOx), codes, and regulations.
  • Attend trade shows, contractor events, and training sessions to represent the company and build industry relationships.
  • Provide training and product education to internal teams (sales, counter, and branch staff) on water heater products and applications.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activity in the CRM.
  • Deliver regular reports on sales performance, market feedback, and pipeline development.

Qualifications
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • High school diploma or equivalent credential required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the Water Heater industry (strongly preferred).
  • Solid product knowledge of water heaters (tank, tankless, gas, electric, and hybrid models).
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CRM systems (Phocas preferred) and virtual meeting tools (MS Teams, Zoom).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
