Role Overview

We're looking for engaging Emcee/Event Hosts to lead corporate volunteering experiences end-to-end from setup to facilitation to wrap-up - so volunteers leave energized and nonprofits feel truly supported. You'll join a global community of 2,000+ hosts and represent Goodera on the ground with warmth, confidence, and high attention to detail.

This role requires someone who thrives in front of people, thinks quickly on their feet, and genuinely loves creating memorable experiences.

What You’ll Do
  • Handle setup and logistics: materials check, volunteer instructions, and contingency planning

  • Host and facilitate the full event flow: introductions, check-in, icebreakers, agenda, impact moments, and closing

  • Keep energy high and instructions crystal clear throughout

  • Make volunteers feel welcome, included, and confident in what they're doing

  • Capture impact: photos/videos, quotes, attendance notes, and recap highlights

  • Troubleshoot in real time and keep the group calm when plans shift

  • Natural Communicator: You enjoy public speaking, can read the room, and communicate clearly under pressure whether you're with 5 people or 100.

  • Warm & Inclusive: Whether your style is high-energy and fun or calm and grounding, you sustain genuine enthusiasm for 2–4 hours and make people feel at ease with your engaging presence.

  • Confident Facilitator: You hold the room, manage group dynamics, and adapt seamlessly when tech fails or plans change without visible stress.

What We’re Looking For
  • Public speaking or facilitation experience (corporate events, workshops, trainings, performances, community gatherings, etc.)

  • Comfort managing event logistics and leading with a clear agenda

  • Strong people skills, emotional intelligence, and a confident, approachable presence

  • Ability to handle unexpected challenges calmly and professionally

  • Bonus: Background in acting, comedy, improv, stand-up, emceeing, or teaching

Requirements
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for 2–4 hours

  • Reliable transportation to venues within your city

  • Fluent in English (bilingual is a plus)
