A TYPICAL WEEK MIGHT INCLUDE

  • Perform a variety of fundamental design tasks to gain familiarity with programs and procedures applicable to public infrastructure consulting engineering.
  • Expanding your engineering toolbox and vocabulary to add knowledge of advanced techniques, applied theory, industry concepts, and best practices.
  • Investigating existing site conditions, jurisdictional criteria, and constraints to inform design iterations and direction.
  • Obtain project information from clients or other LJA personnel as directed.
  • Attends design review meetings and must coordinate with other team members to execute multidisciplinary projects.
  • Plan preparation, design calculations, and specification preparation on Schematic and PS&E projects.
  • Working in an office equipped with meeting rooms, amenities, and excellent technology.
  • Check-ins with your manager and other engineering mentors to identify areas of excellence and growth opportunities.

“MUST HAVE” QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science Degree from ABET accredited university (Civil Engineering Preferred)
  • Engineer-in-Training or ability to obtain in 6 months
  • Experiences with AutoCAD/MicroStation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships
