Examples of Duties
- Provides in classroom and virtual instruction, assessment of language abilities, and academic advisement for the ESL program.
- Writes and administers diagnostic exams to assess proper placement within the ESL program.
- Creates new courses, recruits' students, plans and facilitates educational and cultural programming.
- Clerical duties as assigned in support of the daily function of JSUGlobal.
Typical Qualifications
- Strong command of another language other than English preferred (not required).
- Advanced coursework in foreign language teaching and applied methodology.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to plan and facilitate cultural programming for ESL students both on and off campus.
- Minimum of two years teaching experience.
