Job Summary:
Network Security Systems Plus, Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a focus on Windows systems. The role involves sustaining enterprise-class Windows environments and requires significant expertise in system administration, configuration, and management of Windows servers and virtual machines.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the sustainment of systems with enterprise-class Windows environment.
• Proven technical expert in relevant state of the art technologies and systems.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience heavily versed in Windows servers.
• Windows server administration experience required. Expertise in system installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, capacity planning, monitoring, and security procedures.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience administering and managing virtual machines with VMWare vSphere.
• Individual shall demonstrate knowledge and skills in the following areas: Microsoft Windows Server installation, configuration, administration, and testing.
• Microsoft Active Directory enterprise engineering, implementation, and testing.
• Proficiency with Powershell scripting.
• Microsoft Exchange engineering, implementation, and testing.
• Virtualization – VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix.
• Engineering and design of Virtual Desktop environment (VDI).
• DNS design.
• Microsoft SQL Server design.
• Microsoft IIS design.
• Automated system builds using DevOps technologies – Ansible, Puppet, or similar.
• Engineering, design, and implementation of backup and storage solution (NetApp, Nutanix, Veeam).
• Microsoft WSUS design.
• Enterprise PKI/DoD CAC and Enterprise level Access, Authentication, and Authorization (AAA) Solutions design.
Qualifications:
Required:
• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Top Secret (SCI eligible)
• A total of 10+ years of relevant IT experience: Information Systems, Systems engineering, design and administration to include: Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specification, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, and Test & Evaluation Criteria in support of enterprise systems.
• Five (5) years of technical experience in support of system implementation and installations.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical degree.
• Minimum DOD 8570 IAT Level II compliant by obtaining/maintaining required certifications such as SSCP, SCNP, Security+ CE, or GSEC.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience heavily versed in Windows servers.
