COMING IN AUGUST 2026!!! Right At School is currently hiring for the 2026-2027 school year beginning in August 2026.
We are seeking a part-time, split-shift Before and After School youth staff, whom we call our Educators within the Katy School District.
Part-Time Before and After School Youth Staff Who Call Our Educators (Split-Shift):
Schedule: Must be able to work from Monday through Friday. (schedules may vary slightly)
  1. Leonard Elementary- (AM/PM split-shift) 6:15 am- 8:20 am and return 3:15 pm-6:30 pm
  2. Mitzi Cross-(AM/PM split-shift) 6:15 am- 8:20 am and return 3:15 pm-6:30 pm
  3. Winborn Elementary- (PM only) 2:45 pm-6:30 pm
  4. Mortan Ranch Elementary- (AM/PM split-shift) - 6:15 am -7:50 am and return 3:00 pm-6:30 pm
  5. Ursula Stephens Elementary- (AM/PM split-shift) 6:15 am- 8:20 am and return 3:15 pm-6:30 pm

Pay Range: ($15-$17) per hour (based on education and experience)
Site Location: Located inside Katy School District Schools (listed above)
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED,
18 years of age or older
One year of verifiable previous experience in childcare in a licensed group childcare setting. Full availability Monday through Friday at the scheduled time listed above is required.
You'll drive the mission by:
  • Daily Program Meetings: Each day, review goals and updates, share ideas,discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
  • Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program's objectives. Organize and lead structured daily fitness activities and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
  • Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children are enjoying themselves while also meeting program goals. You will achieve this by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
  • Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols. These may include documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations.
  • Communication: Effective communication with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Ideal Candidates will have the following:
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Works well in a team environment
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
  • Ability to lift 25lbs
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
  • Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed

Requirements:
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements;
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
  • First Aid and CPR-in-person
  • Cleared tuberculosis test
  • 18+ years of age
  • Proof of a high school diploma/GED required
