Job Summary:

Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for the implementation and delivery of J.B. Hunt's talent development programs, primarily focused on professional skills for leaders and expert learning content. The incumbent collaborates with Talent Development Team members, HRBPs, business stakeholders and HR Operations to facilitate classroom-based leadership and onboarding training programs through the application of a variety of instructional techniques such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures. May deliver training programs in multiple locations across the country.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver regulatory, compliance, technical and/or professional training to various employee audiences both virtually and in person. Concepts are for leader-level professional skills, and expert, highly complex learning content.
  • Integrate classroom training with diverse, real-world, business-specific situations in order to drive learning outcomes
  • Assist in curriculum development and provide support to training development teams; partner with online training subject matter experts to create web based training modules and for the delivery of instructor facilitated webinars
  • Manage all logistics involved in all classroom, virtual classroom, eLearning courses including enrollment, accommodations, pre-assessments, etc.
  • Contact training attendees, prepare and distribute participant materials and maintain enrollment list
  • Communicate training and development opportunities to assist employees in meeting their career objectives
  • Assess effectiveness of training programs through a variety of methods including surveys
  • Assist in the maintenance of learner records/certificates of completion; respond to learner questions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business/Business Management, Communications, Instructional Design, or a related field of study, with 7 years of related experience; or 11 years combined relevant experience, education or training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business/Business Management, Communications, Instructional Design, or a related field of study, with 6+ years of training-related experience, education and training.
  • Knowledge of and experience at conducting needs analysis to determine training requirements, appropriate delivery methods, as well as experience in developing/delivering learning content in a business setting.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and peers Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Demonstrated critical and system thinking skills
  • Experience conducting needs assessments
  • Experience in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in presenting, facilitating or training delivery Interpersonal or "people" skills
  • Knowledge of learning design and development processes, including adult learning principles
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience interacting with employees at all levels
  • Understanding of and experience in delivering in traditional and modern training methods (e-learning, virtual, classroom instructor-led, etc.)
  • Must be extremely comfortable giving and receiving developmental feedback on a regular basis.
  • Travel in excess of 30% may be required

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
