Job description

Role Overview:
Lead the technical transformation from Citrix VDI to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). You will design, build, and migrate workloads using Nerdio Manager for Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Architecture: Build scalable AVD landing zones and infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
  • Migration Execution: Migrate user profiles, applications, and workloads from Citrix to AVD.
  • Nerdio Management: Deploy and configure Nerdio Manager for automation and autoscaling.
  • Image Management: Build and optimize golden images using MSIX App Attach and Nerdio.
  • Profile Optimization: Implement FSLogix for profile container management and storage tuning.
  • Performance Tuning: Define Azure network, compute, and storage options to lower costs.
  • Troubleshooting: Solve complex issues related to Azure identity, networking, and session hosts.

Required Skills:
  • AVD Expertise: Deep knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop components and architecture.
  • Citrix Knowledge: Strong understanding of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops for legacy migration.
  • Nerdio Tooling: Hands-on experience with Nerdio Manager for Enterprise management.
  • Identity & Security: Mastery of Azure AD (Entra ID), Active Directory, and GPOs.
