Job description

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $12.75hr - $17.75hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience, including internship or externship experience.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience (e.g., Retail, Home Health Aide).
  • Keyboard and data entry experience.
  • Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins in the lobby through a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
  • Willingness to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to cover breaks.
  • Ability to perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
  • High level of customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients upon arrival and address questions or concerns with care and compassion.
  • Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the waiting area.
  • Assist with patient check-ins using self-service kiosks or handheld tablets.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.
  • Explain procedures to patients in a safe and accurate manner to create an atmosphere of trust.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Provide coverage for phlebotomy breaks and staffing shortages as needed.
