Remote Healthcare Customer Service Opportunity

If you’re someone who thrives in structured, high-volume environments and enjoys providing support behind the scenes to help patients access the care they need, this opportunity is built for you. As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll play a critical role in supporting healthcare processes by ensuring necessary approvals are obtained efficiently and accurately.

This is an ideal fit for detail-oriented professionals who are comfortable with repetitive tasks, value consistency, and can maintain speed without sacrificing quality.

Please Note: This is a 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reviewing case documents and identifying missing or incomplete information needed for authorization
  • Making outbound calls to medical providers or other stakeholders to gather required details
  • Answering inbound calls, handling questions, and assisting with customer requests
  • Accurately documenting all interactions and outcomes to create a clear path for next steps
  • Updating and submitting authorization requests in accordance with established procedures
  • Tracking the progress of requests and ensuring timely follow-up to keep cases moving forward

Your Home Office Environment

To be a Customer Service Representative, you will need a Windows PC. Chromebooks and Macs cannot be used. You will need a computer and equipment meeting the following specifications, at a minimum:

  • Access to high-speed, hardwired internet (no Wi-Fi or Satellite, please)
  • A PC with Windows 11 (Macs and Chromebooks are not supported at this time)
  • 16GB of RAM
  • 250GB of hard drive space
  • An Intel i3 9th Gen Processor or newer
  • Up-to-date antivirus software
  • Dual monitors, each capable of displaying at least 1024 x 768 pixels
  • A USB noise-cancelling headset
  • A smartphone for multi-factor authentication
  • A webcam for your Certification experience

Where NexRep Contracts

NexRep contracts with people in 31 states. You are eligible to contract with NexRep if you reside in one of these states: AL, AK, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV, or WY. We do not currently contract with anyone outside of the US.

Hours of Operation

As an independent contractor, you’ll have the flexibility to manage your own schedule within the client’s hours of operation, which are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET. 

Please note that our third-party client requires that independent contractors service at least 20 hours per week. If you’d prefer to service fewer than 20 hours per week as an independent contractor, you’re free to pursue a different opportunity within the NexRep Marketplace.

Pay & Perks

Customer Service Representatives invoice at a rate of $15 per hour.

Plus, your remote, independent contractor status allows you to work in the comfort of your own home.

    • Supported Production, which occurs after certification, runs for one week.
