Are you passionate about helping others find their future? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where connecting with people is the core of what you do? We are a rapidly growing private Christian university seeking a dedicated and dynamic Admissions Counselor to join our team!
As an Admissions Counselor, you will play a key role in sharing the unique educational experience we offer with prospective students and their families. This position is perfect for someone with a background in direct client customer service or higher education, and a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.
Admissions Counselor key responsibilities
  • Proactively engage with prospective students via phone calling, tele-communication, email, and other communication channels.
  • Connecting about of 100 students daily to provide information about academic programs, financial aid, and the admissions process.
  • Build relationships and guide prospective students and their families through the decision-making process, helping them find the right fit for their educational and spiritual growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of communication and follow up regularly with applicants.
  • Represent the university at recruitment events, college fairs, and virtual events as needed.
Admissions Counselor other duties and responsibilities
  • Completing other duties and tasks with utmost integrity and professionalism, as directed, and not necessarily mentioned in this description, may be asked on a volunteer basis.
  • Commitment to the University's faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith.
  • Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.
  • The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and Orthodox Christian writings.
  • Demonstrated alignment with and enthusiastic support for the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University, including signing the University's Statement of Faith and Core Commitments annually.
