The InfraOps team within Prime Air is responsible for the design and implementation of ground network infrastructure at Prime Air Drone Delivery Centers. We are currently looking for an experienced Network Development Engineer to help us optimize and grow our infrastructure. Our services operate at scale and support workloads critical to safety, so a passion and discipline around operational excellence is key.
Key job responsibilities
• Design, build and manage networks across several geographic regions.
• Monitor and maintain performance & capacity at Amazon's office installations to ensure maximum efficiency and operational uptime.
• Provide operational support for multi-vendor data connectivity solutions to support Prime Air's growth.
• Work with vendors and cross-functional teams for ongoing design efforts and systems support.
• Participate in Operational Excellency by continuously optimizing and automating networking and operations processes.
• Manage severity 2 and 3 tickets while attending on-call rotations during business hours and rostered weekends.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent, or experience with networking and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, traceroute, iperf, dig, cURL or related) at an advanced level
- 4+ years of network engineering and deployments for large-scale networks in a corporate environment, including hands-on physical infrastructure installations, hardware integration, racking, and cabling experience
- 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
- Experience in wireless system design and architecture, system integration, and RF system analysis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of experience with cloud-based networking - Hands-on experience working with cloud networking technologies such as AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms, including knowledge of cloud network architectures, virtual private clouds (VPCs), cloud routing, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- 4+ years of experience with network automation - Demonstrated experience with network automation tools, scripting for network operations (such as Python, Ansible, or similar), tool development, and implementing repeatable deployment processes for network infrastructure.
- Professional networking certifications - CCNP Service Provider certification, CCNP Enterprise certification, JNCIP-SP (Juniper Service Provider Routing and Switching Professional), or JNCIS-DevOps (Juniper Automation and DevOps Specialist).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
