Automotive Service Advisor Apprentice / Customer Service Representative
Location: Lexington, KY
Pay: $14-$19/hour (with potential upgrade to commission after training)

AutoShop Recruiting is partnering with a growing, customer-focused automotive repair facility that is seeking a motivated Service Advisor Apprentice to join their team. This entry-level role is designed for individuals who want to build a long-term career in the automotive service industry. You'll receive hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to both customer service and shop operations as you work alongside experienced advisors.
This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door, learn the business from the ground up, and eventually grow into a full-fledged Service Advisor role.
What You'll Do
Customer Interaction
  • Greet customers with professionalism and direct them to a Service Advisor
  • Assist in collecting customer concerns and vehicle information accurately
  • Learn how to explain repair recommendations in easy-to-understand terms
  • Provide follow-up calls, appointment reminders, and status updates as directed
Administrative Support
  • Assist with creating and updating repair orders under supervision
  • Support service scheduling and appointment confirmations
  • Help prepare estimates by entering labor times, parts, and pricing
  • Organize and maintain service records and documentation
Shop Communication
  • Shadow Service Advisors in relaying customer concerns to technicians
  • Learn how to prioritize jobs and communicate with the shop foreman/dispatch team
  • Deliver work orders, parts, and notes between advisors and technicians
Learning & Development
  • Gain product, warranty, and repair process knowledge
  • Train on effective service sales techniques
  • Participate in training workshops and manufacturer courses
  • Learn customer service KPIs such as CSI scores, retention, and upsell rates
General Support
  • Assist with courtesy transportation (loaner vehicles, shuttle service) as needed
  • Perform vehicle walkarounds with customers under guidance
  • Keep customer waiting areas tidy and welcoming
