Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete customer quotation and order lifecycle for custom and specialty-engineered components.
  • Prepare and deliver customer quotations, proposals, and sales orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review customer specifications, drawings, models, and application requirements to develop effective technical solutions.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and communicated.
  • Collaborate with customers and SCHUNK Design Engineering teams to develop design specifications, drawings, and custom solutions.
  • Coordinate prototype development, testing, and application support, ensuring final designs meet customer expectations, quality standards, and performance requirements.
  • Track and follow up on quotations, opportunities, and sales orders to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, coordinating design, production, and delivery activities with internal teams and manufacturing facilities.
  • Monitor order progress, proactively addressing production, scheduling, or delivery challenges to meet customer and business objectives.
  • Provide technical support, product training, and application guidance to customers, distributors, and internal sales teams through webinars, virtual meetings, and onsite visits.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through phone, email, and onsite support.
  • Enter and manage customer quotations and sales orders within SAP, ensuring accurate documentation and order tracking.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve customer concerns, technical issues, and product delivery challenges.
  • Support Technical Specialists and Customer Service Representatives as needed to ensure seamless customer support and business continuity.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Toolholding, Workholding, Automation Components, Production, Sales, and Marketing teams on customer projects, trade shows, product launches, and internal initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and business performance.
  • Travel up to 5% as required for customer visits, training, trade shows, and business meetings.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience in CNC machining, metal cutting, workholding, fixturing, or toolholding applications.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience working with CAD/CAM software, 3D models, and STEP files.
  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn and effectively utilize internal business systems, including ERP and CRM platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to customers, distributors, sales personnel, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze technical drawings, engineering specifications, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and other technical documentation.
