Job description

Audiology Externship

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), the nation's largest ENT practice with 80 locations throughout New York, New Jersey, Texas, Pennsylvania is seeking enthusiastic and motivated audiology externs to join our team. We offer a comprehensive, hands-on externship experience in a collaborative environment alongside experienced audiologists, renowned otolaryngologists, and otologists.

Compensation: $21.64/hr

Clinical Experience

Our fast-paced, high-volume offices provide extensive exposure across a wide range of audiological services for patients of all ages, including:

  • Comprehensive diagnostic audiological testing for pediatrics and adults
  • Otoacoustic Emissions (OAEs)
  • Vestibular testing (VNG)
  • Electrocochleography (ECochG)
  • Hearing aid evaluations, fittings, follow-ups, and troubleshooting with multiple manufacturers
  • Ear plug fitting and dispensing
  • Auditory osseointegrated device fitting and dispensing (availability varies by location)
  • Patient rapport-building, history-gathering, and counseling across all service areas

Extern Curriculum & Educational Support

Our structured curriculum is designed to complement clinical training with targeted educational programming throughout the year:

  • Onsite trainings with leading hearing aid manufacturers
  • Dedicated educational sessions on VNG, ABR, and ECochG
  • Hearing aid acceptance and counseling training
  • Enrichment and professional development activities
  • Invitations to all departmental audiologist trainings and events
  • Regular check-ins with the audiology management team to support your clinical and educational goals

Placement & Compensation

Externs will be primarily placed at one or two offices selected to maximize their learning experience. Placement decisions take both educational value and extern preferences into consideration.

This is a paid externship ($21.64/hr) with the potential for full-time employment as an audiologist upon licensure.

Application Process

This is a multi-round selection process and includes the following steps:

  • Initial application review
  • Virtual interview
  • In-person site visit

Application deadline: September 18, 2026

Although applications will be accepted through September 18, 2026, interviews will begin in early August and offers will be made on a rolling basis. We are looking to hire up to 15 externs across all of our locations.
