Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

A growing occupational health and primary care practice is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its clinical team in Monroe, Georgia. This opportunity combines onsite patient care with virtual clinical support, allowing providers to deliver comprehensive healthcare services across multiple locations while maintaining a flexible hybrid schedule.

This position is designed for clinicians with approximately 2โ€“3 years of experience who are comfortable managing a broad range of patient needs in a collaborative environment. The role offers a guaranteed 30 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours based on clinic coverage needs. Providers working the guaranteed schedule are eligible for benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-employment, wellness, and occupational health examinations.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
  • Conduct preventive health screenings and wellness assessments.
  • Provide care for workplace injuries and general medical concerns.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical leadership as needed.
  • Support employee health programs, including hearing conservation and respirator fit testing initiatives.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Order, review, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing.
  • Coordinate referrals and ongoing care with specialists and other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation.
  • Follow all clinical, regulatory, and professional practice standards.
  • Assist with day-to-day clinical operations as needed.

Schedule & Work Arrangement

  • Hybrid position
  • Approximately 24 hours per week onsite in Monroe, GA
  • Additional virtual coverage hours supporting Georgia-based locations
  • Guaranteed 30 hours per week
  • Potential to work up to 40 hours weekly based on coverage needs
  • Benefits available for providers working the guaranteed schedule

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.
  • Prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Approximately 2โ€“3 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Certified DOT Medical Examiner designation.
