Job description

Description
The Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island (JCCGCI) is a community-based organization serving individuals and families in the five boroughs with a wide range of social services, as well as capacity-building support to other community-based non-profit organizations throughout the city.
The Internship Liaison is responsible for conducting external monitoring activities and act as a borough field liaison for regional nonprofit worksites. The Internship Liaison will work closely with IPS Case Managers to ensure that program participants are evaluated and milestones are accurately documented. The Internship Liaison will also assist with the development of additional internship sites as needed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Evaluate host sites and student progress onsite.
  • Provide technical assistance, propose solutions to barriers
  • Communicate trends, identify and escalate issues and incidents to management.
  • Ensure information is shared and data is appropriately documented.
  • Provide initial and ongoing orientation as needed to nonprofit sites to ensure a quality program education and paperwork completion.
  • Conduct on-site and virtual presentations to increase awareness of the program.
  • Attend sponsored events to identify additional opportunities.
  • Liaise between external agencies, IPS Site Developer and IPS Case Managers.
  • Develop and distribute program marketing materials.

Requirements:
  • A comprehensive knowledge of NYC communities.
  • Strong interest in human services.
  • Experience in related field preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable with traveling between boroughs each day of the week.
  • Proficient in the Internet and MS Office suite.
  • Bilingual, Russian, Spanish, French Creole, Arabic or Chinese preferred.

This job is Full-Time 35 hours per week; on-site and in the field.
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour.
