Job description

Civil Engineer – Site Development / Land Development.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer - PE to join our growing team.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential development projects from initial planning through construction.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver with strong technical skills and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare civil engineering designs, plans, specifications, and reports for site development projects.
  • Design grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility systems, roadways, and related infrastructure improvements.
  • Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, contractors, and public agencies.
  • Prepare permit applications and support project approvals with local municipalities and regulatory agencies.
  • Perform engineering calculations and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Review construction documents, respond to RFIs, and provide construction-phase support.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining a high level of quality and client service.
  • Mentor junior engineering staff and assist with technical development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 4+ years of civil engineering experience
  • Proficiency with WWHM, MGS Flood, HydroCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of site development, utility design, stormwater management, and permitting processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with municipal agencies and development regulations.
  • Knowledge of Washington and Oregon design standards and permitting requirements.
