Overview

The Modern Workplace & Cloud Operations Administrator is a Tier 3 operational role responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of Microsoft 365, Intune-managed endpoints, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and hybrid Active Directory/Entra ID identity services. This role also owns Microsoft 365 backup administration and routine AD/GPO updates and serves as the primary liaison with the managed services provider (MSP) for Azure servers, SQL workloads, and virtualization platforms.

This is a Full-Time position out of our Waterloo Corporate office with an in office requirement of 1-2 days per week, plus a rotational on-call.

  • This position offers a competitive compensation range. The salary range is $75,000 - $95,000, and placement within the range will be determined in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.
  • What The Role Involves

    • Administer, and act as the subject matter expert on projects related to, Microsoft 365 services including applications such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
    • Act as administrator for applications such as PDQ Deploy (asset and inventory management) and our internal CPSupport portal.
    • Configure and support Intune device compliance, configuration profiles, applications, and Autopilot enrollment.
    • Support Azure Virtual Desktop operations, host pools, session hosts, and FSLogix profile issues.
    • Seek opportunities to automate processes utilizing tools like Microsoft Power Automate and PowerShell.
    • Perform Active Directory administration, GPO creation, testing, and deployment.
    • Coordinate Managed Service Provider (MSP) tickets for Azure VMs, SQL Server jobs, and virtualization, including pre- and post-change validation.
    • Work with the security team to operate and maintain Microsoft 365 backup platforms including job monitoring, restore tasks, and recovery testing.
    • Work with the security team to ensure that applications and operating systems are patched to mitigate vulnerabilities.
    • Maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)s, runbooks, documentation, and knowledge articles.
    • Provide tier 3 level support via triaged tickets from the CarePartners Service Desk team.
    • Provide mentorship to IT team members and serve as the point of escalation for support tickets.

    What You Bring

  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience supporting Microsoft 365, Intune, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience working with MSP-supported cloud environments.
  • Experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP and file services
  • Working knowledge of Azure, SQL, virtualization, and identity synchronization.
  • Excellent communication, team work, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are required
  • Excellent vendor management skills
  • Experience in HealthCare, preferably Home HealthCare is a large asset.
  • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certification is or similar networking certification is preferred.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert is preferred.
  • ITIL or PMP for process and project management is preferred.
