Job description

Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.
We are looking for someone to build and lead Figure's Deployment Logistics function. This is a founding role. You will design the system and infrastructure to move and track robots, equipment, and parts between Figure HQ, warehouses, data collection locations, and customer sites. Over time the scope will grow into the full aftermarket logistics function, spanning warehousing, dispatch, inventory, and service parts operations at scale.
You will work closely with our commercial deployment, data operations, service, and manufacturing teams to ensure all of our offsite operations run smoothly. This role requires excellent leadership, problem solving, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and stand up our warehouse and inventory strategy for tracking data collection equipment, data collection props, robot equipment, service parts, tooling, and more.
  • Design and stand up the dispatch function to move all of this equipment between HQ/warehouse, data collection locations, and customer sites - reliably and on schedule.
  • Build the domestic and international shipping playbook - carriers, customs documentation, delivery timelines - and the relationships that make it reliable.
  • Serve as the primary logistics point of contact across Commercial Operations - proactive on availability, schedules, delays, and issues, and trusted to make judgment calls.
  • Hire and lead the team of coordinators and warehouse/dispatch staff who execute day-to-day operations as volume grows.
  • Build the reporting layer - logs and metrics on equipment usage, shipping costs, and deployment history.
  • Expand the function's scope over time into the broader aftermarket sales logistics operation, including service parts distribution and support for a growing customer install base.

Requirements:
  • 6-8+ years in logistics, shipping, warehouse/inventory operations, asset management, or field operations, with a track record of building or scaling a function
  • Experience designing warehouse or inventory management strategy from scratch.
  • Experience hiring, managing, and developing a team.
  • Excellent communication skills - comfortable coordinating across multiple teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency with tracking systems, spreadsheets, and project management tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Jira, Confluence).
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or hardware company logistics.
  • Deep familiarity with international shipping, customs, and import/export documentation.
  • Experience supporting trade shows, demos, or customer events.
  • Experience selecting or implementing inventory management systems or ERP tools - you've built the system, not just used one.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $200,000 - $275,00 annually.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
