Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include: The Supervisor of the Hematology Department is responsible for the oversight of 3 clinical laboratory locations (i.e. Main Lab, Infusion Lab and the Oncology Lab).  Under the auspices of Hematology, the department also oversees Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology/Virology (limited) and Serology testing.  The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, administrative and technical skills.  Additionally, a strong knowledge base of the CLIA Regulations is essential.  The candidate must be prepared to engage and participate in regulatory surveys by both the NYSDOH and TJC.  Requirements:

  • NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations and guidelines
  • Bachelor degree plus 4 years minimum clinical experience                            
  • MS plus 2 years minimum clinical experience
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Participates in the "on-call" schedule and extended shift coverage
Pay RangeUSD $64.83 - USD $81.10 /Hr.Qualifications
