Position Summary

Bartenders create memorable social experiences by combining exceptional beverage knowledge with genuine hospitality, creating an environment where every guest feels welcomed, valued, and eager to return.
This position prepares handcrafted beverages using fresh ingredients while providing service throughout Henderson Sport & Social, including the restaurant, patio, bowling lanes, VIP bowling, Krazy Darts bays, event spaces, meeting rooms, and party rooms. Bartenders build relationships, create community, and support the entire Food & Beverage operation while practicing responsible alcohol service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare handcrafted cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, mocktails, coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
  • Provide beverage service throughout the restaurant, patio, bowling lanes, VIP bowling, Krazy Darts bays, event spaces, meeting rooms, and party rooms.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the food menu, beverage menu, seasonal features, pairings, and Henderson Sport & Social offerings.
  • Prepare garnishes, fresh syrups, citrus, and other bar ingredients while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain bar inventory through stocking, liquor organization, beer rotation, wine restocking, cleanliness of the draft system, and communicating inventory needs to leadership.
  • Build relationships with guests by creating conversation, remembering preferences, recommending menu items, and fostering a welcoming community atmosphere.
  • Recommend appetizers, desserts, signature cocktails, promotions, gift cards, memberships, and other facility offerings in a hospitality-focused manner.
  • Verify identification, monitor alcohol consumption, refuse service when necessary, and immediately notify management of alcohol-related concerns.
  • Support servers, food runners, and the overall restaurant by assisting with food delivery, bussing the bar, and other operational needs.
  • Complete opening, closing, cleaning, side work, and additional operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required alcohol and food service certifications.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Excellent communication, hospitality, and multitasking skills.
  • Positive attitude with a passion for guest service and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous full-service bartending experience.
  • Knowledge of craft cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Experience working in a high-volume hospitality environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 150 pounds with assistance.
  • Bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and transport beverage products and supplies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
