Job Title Technician, Treatment Maintenance.NE Location Norfolk, VA, US Organization Name VIP Maintenance Work Schedule and Other Information Brief Description The Treatment Maintenance Technician is responsible for ongoing maintenance and repair of wastewater facilities and equipment. They troubleshoot mechanical systems, conduct preventive maintenance, and perform tasks such as piping and equipment replacement. Tracking and documentation of maintenance activities is required. • General maintenance experience to include preventative and corrective maintenance, minor plumbing, painting, and/or construction
Desired
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, skid steers, and backhoes
• Experience in welding, fabrication, pipe fitting and/or other applicable trades.
Licenses and Certifications Requirements
• Valid driver's license from state of residence
• For Small Communities Division (SCD) positions only: Class A Commercial Driver's License with N (Tank Vehicle) endorsement to be obtained within 24 months of appointment
• Ability to obtain and maintain Federal and Virginia Port Authority Transportation Workers Identification Credential for staff required to access the Army Base Treatment Plant
