A typical day in a vintage store involves assisting customers with finding unique items, answering questions about products, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and well-organized. You might also spend time curating and displaying merchandise, tagging and pricing new inventory, and handling sales transactions at the register. Many vintage store employees are responsible for researching the history and value of items, updating online listings, and participating in social media promotion. The role often involves a mix of independent tasks and teamwork, depending on the size of the store.
