Job description

Keep Our Pizzas Moving — Join Us as a Warehouse Yard Dog!
2nd Shift: 2:00PM-10:30PM

Who You’ll Work For…
While many pizza brands have no real connection to Italy, Palermo’s passion for food and family traces back to the birthplace of pizza itself. “Papa Palermo” brought his cherished Sicilian recipes to America, and from those roots, we continue to create high-quality, delicious products beloved by customers nationwide. We’re leaders in private label frozen pizza and contract manufacturing, and our innovative spirit has earned us recognition across the industry.

Perks…
20 Free Pizzas per Month (yes, you read that right!)
Paid Time Off and a Floating Holiday of Your Choice
Comprehensive Benefits Package starting the 1st of the Month After Hire
401(k) & Roth with Company Match, Fully Vested from Day One
Training and Career Advancement Opportunities

Where You’ll Work…
Based at our state-of-the-art Villa Palermo facility in Milwaukee’s Menomonee River Valley, you’ll be part of a high-performing team that keeps our operation running around the clock. This facility includes an on-site bakery, robotic packaging lines, and a 24-hour shipping & receiving hub.

When You’ll Work…
This full-time role is for 2nd Shift, 2:00PM-10:30PM

What You’ll Do…
As our Warehouse Yard Dog, you’ll be the key to keeping our trailers moving and our operations flowing. You’ll…

  • Safely move trailers between docks and yard locations to ensure timely flow of materials.
  • Operate a yard truck with precision in tight spaces and congested areas.
  • Place jack stands, wheel chocks, and glad hand locks properly and consistently.
  • Keep accurate logs and inspection reports for yard activities and vehicles.
  • Prep trailers for loading, clean as needed, and manage refrigerated trailer units.
  • Fill in as needed in freezer, cooler, or dock areas to maintain your skills and help your team.

What You Bring…

  • Strong focus on safety and awareness in high-traffic yard environments
  • Ability to climb in and out of tractors repeatedly and operate yard equipment confidently
  • Forklift experience or ability to become certified
  • Prior yard dog, CDL, or warehouse experience preferred
  • Ability to work in both cold (40°F) and freezer (-10°F) conditions as part of the job
  • Class A CDL required

Why You’ll Succeed…

  • You take pride in moving with purpose, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • You stay cool under pressure — even when working in the freezer
  • You’re a team player willing to jump in wherever help is needed
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments and love staying active
